£90 Million Given In Grants

During the September 2025 funding round, The Albert Gubay Charitable Foundation awarded 38 grants totalling £2,307,029 to projects including medical research, homelessness, and programmes supporting victims of domestic abuse.
30 grants were made from the General Fund at a total value of £1,868,908; of these, 10 Medical Research projects received funding, totalling £467,607. Eight grants were awarded to projects from the British Church Fund representing a total of £438,121.
The September meeting also represented a significant funding milestone for the Foundation, as we passed a total of £90 million dispensed in grants since 2016 to over 800 projects and organisations.
Below is a selection of projects that received awards from The Albert Gubay Charitable Foundation in the September 2025 funding round.

Prader-Willi Syndrome Association (PWSA) UK
PWSA UK provides support to individuals with Prader-Willi Syndrome. Their Building Our Social Skills (BOSS) course helps people living with the syndrome and their families/carers to better understand and manage the behavioural challenges associated with the condition. A grant of £25,000 from The Albert Gubay Charitable Foundation will help support the BOSS course and make a difference in the lives of those affected by Prader-Willi Syndrome.

Salford CVS
Following the success of the Elevate Salford project, The Albert Gubay Charitable Foundation has awarded a grant of £450,000 in continued support of Salford CVS and their city-wide employability programme.
The project, which AGCF helped to establish in 2022 with a grant of £2,250,000, focuses on helping those individuals who are furthest from the job market into work and has supported over 1,300 individuals towards achieving stable employment and making positive life changes.

Niemann-Pick UK
Niemann-Pick diseases are rare, inherited, progressive, and life-limiting metabolic conditions for which there is no cure or treatment. An award of £20,000 from The Albert Gubay Charitable Foundation to Niemann-Pick UK will help fund support for families of people living with Niemann-Pick diseases.

Applecast Limited
The Albert Gubay Charitable Foundation trustees were impressed by this organisation’s reach and proactive vision in providing holistic support to care leavers and young people facing difficulties engaging in education. Their mission is to engage with young people facing complex challenges, are in the care system, have special educational needs, have been excluded or are at risk of exclusion, or involved with the youth justice system. A grant of £47,500 from The Albert Gubay Charitable Foundation will help support Applecast’s work with young people.
