Following the success of our June funding round, during which £6,297,513 was awarded to over 50 charities, The Albert Gubay Charitable Foundation will soon reach a milestone of £90 million given away in grants.
Our June 2025 funding round saw us receive hundreds of approaches to our General Fund, which reopened after having been closed to applications in 2024. Below is a small selection of projects which were awarded funding during our most recent funding round.
Abergele Community Action
AGCF previously awarded a three year grant to Abergele Community Action in 2022 to support their work with young people aged 10 – 25 who are, or at risk of becoming, excluded from mainstream social, economic, educational, and digital opportunities. Having achieved their goals over that time, and having developed an employability course with significant 1-2-1 support, they were successful in securing a further grant in continued support for their work with young people.
Moss Side Millennium Powerhouse Ltd
This charity was established in 2000. Their core aim is to mobilise young people to achieve by fostering a culture of service, activism, entrepreneurship and financial resilience and to level the playing field for those experiencing disadvantage in an area of Greater Manchester where 47% of children are living in poverty. Through strong partnerships and youth-involved governance, they empower young people by equipping them to act on issues they care about, offering inclusive spaces for recreation and expression and delivering pathways into education, employment, and enterprise.
Metro Sports and Social Club of Vision Impaired People
Metro Sports and Social Club of Vision Impaired People is dedicated to providing sports and social opportunities for people who are blind or partially sighted. Their sports offerings promote positive, lasting changes by improving fitness, self-esteem, and social connections, while simultaneously combating mental health challenges. Their Primary Sports Programme is an inclusivity-focused project that brings adapted sport and physical activity to blind and partially sighted people across Greater London.
