Cumbria Addictions Advice and Solutions (CADAS), £135,000, West Cumbria Addictions Adult Recovery Pathway
This charity supports individuals and families living in Cumbria, with their mental health, addictions and substance dependency needs. They provide both targeted early intervention and tailored rehabilitation programmes. Their support helps people develop the skills for a successful rehabilitation, facilitating recovery from drug and alcohol dependency, and the journey back to independent living and work.

Carlisle Key, £105,000, Homeless Drop In Centre, Carlisle
This charity aims to reduce the cycle of homelessness and empower young people up to 26 years old to take an active role in the community. The homeless young people they support include those with complex and multiple needs such as care leavers, those with mental health issues, addictions, young parents, and victims of abuse. Their services address the immediate impacts of homelessness, prevent young people from re-becoming homeless, and tackle underlying issues causing homelessness.

PAPYRUS Prevention of Young Suicide, £311,551, Hopeline 247
This 24-hour multilingual and signed confidential support service is offered via phone, text email and/or webchat. Their HOPELINE247 Advisers are highly trained mental health professionals who help young people speak openly and honestly, often for the first time. The advisers support callers in exploring why suicide feels like an option, what has motivated them to seek help, to identify reasons for living, to develop a suicide safety plan, and develop strategies to stay safe from suicide.
