Quarterly Funding Report February 2026

During the February 2026 Trustee Meeting, 29 grants were awarded at a total value of £1,571,611, comprising £706,258 awarded from the General Fund, £128,500 from the Irish Church Fund, and £736,853 from the British Church Fund.
9 grants were made to British Church Fund projects, 4 were made to Irish Church Fund Projects, and 16 were made to General Fund projects.

February’s trustee meeting also involved discussions surrounding AGCF’s grant making strategy, including elements of work, such as new features which aim to encourage greater engagement between the work of the charity and that of Derwent Estates.

Below is a selection of projects and charities that were awarded funding at the February 2026 Trustee Meeting.

Women’s Enterprising Breakthrough (WEB Merseyside), £31,283

This project provides the help women need when they leave the crisis and shorter-term support that the other partners in the Wirral Domestic Abuse Hub provide. It prevents them returning to the abusive relationship they have left or starting a similar relationship, develops their self-confidence, helps them deal with their trauma and stabilise their lives so that they reach a position where they can volunteer, learn skills and secure work.

Hebron Housing, £30,000

This 40-year-old charity delivers a supported-housing abstinent recovery programme for women with serious drug and/or alcohol problems, enabling the women to return to independent living, maintain abstinence, and achieve a stable social, employment, and housing situation.

RESOLVE, £45,000

AGCF previously awarded this charity a grant of £49,265 in early 2024. Their Drug and Alcohol Day Treatment Service, based in Welwyn Garden City and Letchworth provides abstinence-focused, psychosocial support for people seeking recovery and it provides continuity and flexibility for people’s whose journey away from addiction may not be a linear path. The project helps people facing substance misuse and homelessness to move towards stability and independence.
