Bury Red Door delivers homeless support to the people of the borough of Bury, providing breakfast and lunch five days a week; advocacy and advice on housing and finances; as well as group activities such as furniture upcycling and art classes.
Their aim is to provide dignity and hope to vulnerable individuals and those in crisis, delivering food parcels, support, and advice to people in need.
Dedicated support workers offer advocacy and personal help to their service users, interceding with local landlords and housing associations to ensure safe, secure housing; accessing healthcare; financial advice; and appeals.
Since AGCF’s grant of £328,871 to Bury Red Door in January 2022, they have helped 45 people secure safe housing; provided access to healthcare for 119 service users; and improved the overall wellbeing of 341 individuals.
